As the newly appointed Headteacher of Aureus Primary School, I am proud to lead our vibrant and fully-grown school, now thriving at full capacity at the heart of Great Western Park in Didcot. I am honoured to lead its next chapter, and I look forward to supporting and celebrating the successes of our children as they fulfil their potential.
At Aureus Primary, we are committed to nurturing every child to dream, believe and achieve, and as such, our bespoke STEAM curriculum - rooted in Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics - has been specifically written and deliberately designed for children living in Oxfordshire. It has been carefully designed to inspire curiosity and ambition, particularly within the rich and innovative local landscape. We follow The National Curriculum and deliver it through our STEAM curriculum, as a vehicle to encourage children to aspire to work in the high technology industries and to develop a love of learning.
Our school values are respect, appreciation, compassion, determination, grit, resilience, excellence, creativity, curiosity, responsibility, leadership and teamwork, and these underpin all that we do. These principles are lived and modelled daily by both staff and pupils, shaping a positive, inclusive culture where children feel safe, valued, and ready to learn.
We believe in the power of community. As we continue to grow, I am deeply committed to strengthening our connections with families and local partners. We have exciting projects in development that will further enhance our offer and enrich the experiences of our pupils.
GLF Schools promotes a cross-cluster collaborative approach, allowing colleagues to share expertise and experience, ensuring all children in our schools receive an excellent education and reach their potential. Our School sits within a newly established cluster of Primary schools, overseen by a Regional Director. Along with Aureus Primary, our cluster includes the following other schools; William Morris Primary School, Longford Park Primary School, Hardwick Primary School, Cherry Fields Primary School, and Manor Primary School .

GLF Schools is a Multi-Academy Trust established in 2012. We believe that every child in our schools can achieve the highest academic standards whilst enjoying a vibrant, challenging and rich curriculum. What we say in our motto is true: "Where Children Grow, Learn and Flourish." Whilst operating as a part of a family, each of our schools has its own distinct character and culture which is respectful of its community and context but their utmost common ground is that it is our staff that make each school. Our collective GLF culture is built upon caring for our children and students by enabling our staff to provide the best possible education with the resources at our disposal.
We have a simple mission. "To be a supportive family of schools where together we grow, learn and flourish”
Joining GLF schools brings a wealth of opportunity both personally and professionally. Each school in our trust has its own individual identity, while benefiting from the expertise that comes from a dedicated and experienced support team.
